We showed up unexpected after a family funeral about 50 of us and they took amazing care of us. Lupita and Sebastian were so helpful and courteous. Of course the food and drinks are always good here. Thanks for all you did for us yesterday!
My first time here at Ordóñez. It was a large party of 14 and we didn't know what to expect. The food was so good and the service was great. They worked in teams like clockwork to make sure our group was taken care of at all times. Food was so good and service was great. Also a special thanks to our female server Lupita who was so attentive and made sure she took extra time to serve! Thank you for an amazing experience!
It was after lunch and the restaurant was quiet. I didn't see ground beef on the menu but I asked if I could get a ground beef taco. The server said yes. I ordered a combo plate. . . ground beef taco, cheese enchiladas, rice, and beans and a root beer. I had chips and salsa while I waited. The salsa was tasty and I wanted the chips to be warm crispy and salty. Sadly, for me they were only crispy. The food came and it looked very appetizing. I ate the taco first so it wouldn't get soggy. They must smashed up an albondiga to use as the ground beef cause there were potatoes in the taco as well. This was okay with me. It was a good taco. I was already getting full so I picked at everything else. OMG! The enchiladas and rice tastes just like my mom's! I was in heaven. The beans were not bad either. I took everything with me and made two other meals from the leftovers. I also ordered a flan to go. It didn't have that nice caramel topping I was expecting. It tasted like a boxed mix but cannot be to sure about that. I would return when I'm in the area.
Despite some of the lower review rating on Yelp, this place came to us by recommendation by a friend, so we came to try it. I'd rank it as above average and good portions, pricing and quality as well as service and the logistical all important location (easy access from the freeway) and parking. The food good and they give free chips and salsa, refilling them gratis too! I had a burrito, Chile Verde Pork and it was excellent.
Very good taste of Mexico got the wet burrito and the carne asada was delicious chewing and soft at the same time The salsa was good and to add a kick out in tapatio and then chips are addicting
